Sleepover party games are perfect for exuberant teens.
Take your teen daughter's upcoming sleepover up a notch by adding lively party games instead of just serving popcorn and watching movies. These games help keep the girls occupied and social, warding off boredom. Using a few basic items and your creativity, you can set up games that the girls will remember for a long time. Offering feminine prizes like stationery sets, hair accessories, jewelry, or gift cards can motivate them to join in all the activities.
Hidden Alarm Clock Challenge
Hide a set alarm clock somewhere in the party space or inside one of the girls' sleeping bags. Let the teens know you've hidden a clock, and the first one to locate it when it rings will win a prize. To prevent them from searching too early, wait until roughly 15 minutes before the alarm is set to go off before you tell them.
Balloon Volleyball Indoors
Create a net by hanging a streamer across the room. Use an inflated balloon as the volleyball. Define the court edges with masking tape. Split the girls into equal teams and follow the standard rules of volleyball. The team that reaches 15 points first wins.
Truth or Dare Draw
On slips of paper, write several truth questions and dares, and assign a point value to each slip. Put all the slips into a box. Examples of truth questions are "Who is your crush?" or "What is your most embarrassing moment?" Dares could include snorting like a pig for 30 seconds or standing on your head for one minute. Each teen draws a slip and must complete the truth or dare to earn the points listed. If they don't complete it, they get no points. Once every teen has had five turns, the one with the highest total points wins.
Makeover Contest
Have the teens pair up, and give each pair a bag filled with makeup. Send each team to a separate room to apply makeup on each other. Allow 30 minutes for the makeovers. After the time is up, all teens must show off their looks. Invite a few adults to judge the makeovers. Give prizes for the best, funniest, silliest, and scariest makeovers.
