Step 1
Take the standard playing card deck and use it as a template to trace the card outline onto the poster board. Although tarot decks come in various sizes, using a regular card ensures comfortable shuffling. Cut out the cards carefully, following the traced lines precisely to keep all cards uniform. Produce 78 blank cards.
Step 2
If you have a design you'd like on the card backs, you can either draw it by hand or print it from your computer and affix it to the back of each card.
Step 3
Study the meaning of each card. Determine which images you want to use to symbolize each meaning. Draw or print and glue each image onto the cards. Take your time with this process. Everyone has a unique idea of what image best represents a card's meaning. You don't have to follow the conventional choices. Find what resonates with you. After all, these are your cards.
