Beatifully colored liquid in glass bottles can add color and vibrancy to any decor.
Tinted liquid inside glass bottles and vases can serve as a striking centerpiece in various settings. You can place these colored containers on bookshelves, kitchen counters, or side tables. To add more visual appeal, consider incorporating items such as artificial flowers, colored marbles, or beads.
Step 1
Select your liquid. If the glass item is in a spot where spills are likely, opt for a less staining option such as water. If you want a thicker, more syrupy look, go with oil.
Step 2
Introduce food coloring. Warm the water or oil in the microwave, then start adding the coloring. When using oil, incorporate the dye one drop at a time, stirring well after each addition. With water, you can add the coloring more quickly, but remember to stop and stir often to check the hue.
Step 3
Transfer the colored liquid into your bottle. If the bottle has a narrow opening, a funnel will help.
Step 4
Enhance with additional decorations. Marbles or stones in a matching shade can provide a lovely contrast to your colored liquid. If the bottle will sit in a kitchen, try suspending plastic fruit, vegetables, or herbs in the liquid to create depth and visual interest.
