As spring arrives, these five decorating approaches can help you channel the season's spirit indoors. They range from natural materials and bold bedding to prints, mirrors, and wildflowers, with options for different budgets and tastes.

The arrival of spring invites you to open up your home and let a sense of renewal flow through it. The decorating suggestions below are designed to be adaptable to any budget and can be personalized to suit your own style. If you're prepared to leave winter behind and give your living space a fresh boost, the following ideas are worth exploring.

1. Organic Textures and Earthy Tones

Spring decorating often centers on materials that feel natural and organic. This means incorporating wood that is unfinished or only lightly treated, along with cane, bamboo, rattan, and hemp, all kept in their undyed, natural state. Should a new rattan daybed—like the one shown here from The Wicked Boheme on Etsy—be beyond your budget, a rattan basket for storing magazines or bath linens can serve as an accessible alternative. You also don't need to commit to a full bohemian aesthetic to use natural fibers. Those who prefer modern interiors can add a few textured pieces as accents within an otherwise clean-lined space.

2. Vibrant and Striking Bedding

Give your bedroom a lift with textiles that make a statement—such as the bird and floral print duvet cover pictured here from Get Bed Ready on Etsy. Choosing fabrics that are naturally cooling, like those made from bamboo and eucalyptus, can also help you feel as refreshed as your bed looks.

3. Prints with Appeal

These prints don't have to be floral. Any uplifting colors drawn from nature can make your home feel unmistakably springlike. Beyond printed textile items such as cushion covers, throws, accent rugs, towels, and tapestries, you can temporarily swap solid-colored dinnerware for cheerful printed porcelain and apply peel-and-stick wallpaper to your walls. Mixing patterns is also something to try without hesitation.

4. Let Mirrors Do More

Mirror, mirror on the wall—what's the brightest tip of all? Take a guess. If your home doesn't have enough windows to brighten things up, placing a mirror on an opposite or adjacent wall allows sunlight to bounce off it and light another part of the room. The familiar trick of using a mirror to make a space feel larger is also widely known. And once you've put time into seasonal decorating, hanging a mirror in each room lets you take in your spring-fresh space no matter where you look. One example we like is the handmade bohemian wall mirror with macrame fringe by Souctieyiommo.

5. Go Wild! (If You Can)

Decorating with fresh cut blooms from your local florist is an obvious choice, and you should definitely do so! But to _really_ bring the natural beauty of the season into your home, skip the professionally-arranged bouquet from the florist every so often in favor of fresh wildflowers! But a word of caution: you might NOT want to gather some on your next nature walk à la Little Red Riding Hood as doing so may be against the law and/or frowned upon. (It might disrupt the natural ecological balance where you live.) What you _can_ do is grow them in your own yard from seed. Not only will you have a lovely, homegrown bouquet for your dining table centerpiece, you'll also attract lovely butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees into your garden.
