Checking the passenger count
It can be challenging to find out how many passengers are currently booked on a Southwest Airlines flight. When you book, the information presented generally centers on ticket prices and the rewards points you can earn. Still, the Southwest Airlines website provides a straightforward way to access this detail.
Step 1
Reserve a flight with Southwest Airlines so that you obtain a flight number.
Step 2
Go to the Southwest Airlines site and select the "Check Flight Status" link.
Step 3
Provide the details Southwest Airlines asks for on that page: departure city, arrival city, travel date, and flight number.
Step 4
Move to the bottom of the page, where you'll see a section labeled "Other Flight Information." There, both the number of passengers on the flight and the available seats will be displayed.
