Turning Delta SkyMiles into Hotel Reservations: A Guide

Delta Air Lines' frequent flyer program, SkyMiles, lets members exchange miles for accommodations at select hotel partners. These miles can cover rooms for the member or for someone else, such as family members on a trip. Because the number of rooms available for award stays can be capped, early booking is recommended during high-demand travel periods.

Members of Delta Air Lines' frequent flyer program, SkyMiles, have the option to trade their miles for hotel stays at specific partner properties. The miles can be used to secure accommodations either for the member personally or for other individuals. For instance, a member might apply SkyMiles toward hotel rooms for themselves or for family members during a relatives' vacation. Since the inventory of rooms eligible for award redemption may be limited, reserving as early as possible is advisable when travel dates are popular.

SkyMiles Marketplace

Booking hotels through the SkyMiles Marketplace is available to those who hold Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Diamond Medallion status, or who carry a Delta SkyMiles American Express card. Once you sign in to the SkyMiles Marketplace, choose the hotel option from the central menu on your screen. Provide your preferred destination, the number of travelers, and your travel dates. The platform will then present a selection of hotels from which you can choose, and you can settle the cost of the stay by using SkyMiles.

Vacation Packages

Every SkyMiles member is eligible to redeem miles for Delta Vacations, which are bundled packages combining both airfare and hotel accommodations, through the Delta website. At the time of publication, these packages begin at 25,000 miles.
