Discounted Friday Evening Entry
If you buy admission after 5 p.m. on a Friday, you get half off the regular price. Arrive early to make the most of it, since the aquarium typically closes at 8 p.m. Some dates may be excluded, so visit the aquarium's website to confirm whether your chosen Friday is eligible for the discount.
Morning Discount for Maryland Residents
Each year, the National Aquarium offers a monthlong promotion called Maryland Monday. Locals can save $10 on tickets purchased before noon, Sunday through Friday. You must present a valid in-state ID, such as a Maryland driver's license, to qualify.
Dollar Admission Days
On two specific days in December, the National Aquarium lowers admission to just $1. To learn the exact dates each year, check the aquarium's website and search for the "Dollar Days" offer.
Donation-Based Admission Day
As a nonprofit organization, the National Aquarium works to fund local oceanic conservation in the Chesapeake Bay. On one day in January, you can visit the aquarium by making a donation of any amount, with all proceeds supporting conservation efforts. Look for the exact date on the aquarium's website in January.
Hotel Monaco Package
Book a two-night Hotel Monaco package through the aquarium's website and receive free aquarium tickets. The room accommodates two adults, and children stay at no extra cost. A continental breakfast is also included.
Military Savings
Present an active military ID at the National Aquarium's ticket window to get $3 off admission. All military members—including active duty, reserves, and retired personnel—can buy discounted tickets at a local military base through the aquarium's consignment ticket program.
AAA Member Discount
Select American Automobile Association offices in the mid-Atlantic region offer consignment National Aquarium tickets to AAA members at a reduced rate. The mid-Atlantic states include Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Virginia.

While the cost is usually much higher than a single admission, a membership lets you visit the aquarium for free as often as you like throughout the year. You begin saving money on your third visit, and the more you go, the more you save. You also get a discounted rate on any immersion tour.
Group Discounts
Book a group of 15 or more to receive a bulk discount, and the group escort or chaperone is admitted free. If you choose a package that includes a meal at the nearby Uno Chicago Grill, you save an extra $5 per ticket. To reserve a group package, call 410-576-3833 at least three weeks ahead. A $75 deposit is required.
Transportation to the National Aquarium
Public transit provides easy access to Baltimore's aquarium. On the Metro, exit at the Shot Tower/Market Place station. For the light rail, get off at either the Convention Center or Camden Yards, where the MARC also stops. From Amtrak and MARC's Penn Station stop, you can take a cab or walk the mile to the aquarium. Buses 1, 7, 8, 10, 19, 61, 62, and 64 stop at the aquarium. The Charm City Circulator's Orange Line drops you off right at the front steps.
Driving is another convenient option. Park at the Lockwood Place Garage and show your ticket to receive $3 off parking.
