TSA approved travel locks allow for agents to open your luggage without damaging the lock.

Heys USA Group produces travel goods and accessories, including resettable luggage locks. Many Heys bags come with these locks, and they are also sold independently in travel stores and airport outlets. The company offers various types: hardside, softside, graphite frame, TSA, ePac, and built-in locks, all of which can be reset. Although the button and component arrangements differ slightly across models, the fundamental reset procedure is consistent.

Step 1

Set the combination dials to "0-0-0". This is the default combination that all Heys locks are set to at the factory.

Step 2

Pull the U-shaped metal shackle upward, away from the lock body, to open it.

Step 3

Turn the shackle a quarter turn so that its open end points toward the front of the lock case. Then push the shackle down firmly into the lock case.

Step 4

While keeping the shackle pressed down, rotate it further until the open end is facing away from the lock case.

Step 5

Choose your new combination by rotating the three visible dials to the desired numbers.

Step 6

Let go of the shackle and rotate it back toward the lock case.

Step 1

Dial the current combination on your Heys lock and open it. For a new lock, the preset combination is 0-0-0.

Step 2

Push and hold the reset button or adjustment bar in the direction of the printed arrow on your Heys lock. The location varies: on the front for hardside luggage locks, on the side for softside or graphite frame locks, and on the top for ePac backpack locks.

Step 3

Rotate the three visible dials to your preferred combination.

Step 4

Move the reset button or adjustment bar back to its original position.
