Finding Your Southwest Trip Details When the Confirmation Code Is Missing
After you buy a ticket from Southwest Airlines, the carrier emails you an itinerary that includes a confirmation number. That number is required when you check in or modify your booking before departure. Should you misplace the confirmation number, Southwest's own website offers a way to look it up again.

Retrieve your Southwest Airlines travel itinerary.
When travelers purchase airfare through Southwest Airlines, the carrier supplies them with a travel itinerary that includes a confirmation number. An email confirming the itinerary is sent by Southwest once the booking is completed. Ahead of a flight, you may need to pull up that itinerary in order to check in or to adjust your reservation. A confirmation number is necessary for either task. In case the confirmation number is not available, it can be retrieved by using Southwest's website.
Step 1
Go to the Southwest Airlines site at southwest.com to access your travel itinerary. From the homepage, select the option for managing travel, checking in online, or changing reservations.
Step 2
Choose the link labeled "Look Up Confirmation Number."
Step 3
Pick "Credit Card Number" as the method for locating your reservation, using the same card that was used to pay for the Southwest ticket. Provide your first name, last name, the city you are departing from, the departure date, and the credit card number. Then click "Continue".
Step 4
Your reservation and confirmation number will appear on the results page. Save a copy of the confirmation number for your own records.
