Renting a car on Priceline means paying in advance.
Priceline car rentals can come with significant savings, yet refunds may be difficult to secure when plans change. The platform provides two booking paths—Name Your Own Price and location-specific retail service—and the cancellation process varies according to which one you used.
Cancellations for Name Your Own Price Bookings
With Priceline's Name Your Own Price option, you place a bid on a rental car and submit payment details before learning which agency will provide the vehicle or whether the bid will be accepted. This approach can help keep travel costs in check, but cancelling does not come with a refund. After the car is booked, the reservation cannot be cancelled or modified.
Cancellations for Priceline Retail Bookings
If you reserve a rental car through Priceline's standard retail channels rather than Name Your Own Price, free cancellation may be available in certain situations, subject to location. Review the rental policies and rules information included in your reservation details.
